Speaker Profile:
R. Vaidyanathan is professor of Finance and Control and UTI Chair Professor in the area of Capital Markets at the Indian Institute Of Management (IIM), Bangalore His areas of interest are Corporate Finance, Investments, Portfolio Management, Risk Management and Pensions. As a visiting Fulbright Scholar in Corporate Finance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaigne USA, he studied the credit rating me chanisms of major agencies like S&P and Moody's. He has been a visiting faculty in many international institutes like Manchester Business School of England, Salzburg Seminar at Austria and University of Mauritius. He is a member of many high level committees appointed by the Security Exchange Board Of India (SEBI).
He has also published extensively about the role of Unincorporated Sector in the Indian economy. He has published two books one on the Non-corporate India and the other on Pensions-- facing the future. He is a regular contributor of views and opinions to many leading dailies on issues related to Economy and Finance. He has been a spirited campaigner in the fight against black money and corruption.
